Caught A Cold?

He was wearing this spring suit! It must be very cold out there since he was wearing a heavy coat the night before.

As time went by, I often heard him sniff.
After John's reports from NY studio, there was awkward silence. This might be because there was a time lag, or because he did not want to concentrate on less important news from "Bulletin" or "the Shot." Such reactions must have been very frustrating for John, who has been taking Anderson's place and doing pretty good jobs for his program.
Seeing these facts, it is obvious that he contracted cold during this report.

Turkey

I finally see Anderson on live! For the first time in these 12 days? I barely managed to stay away from him. So when AC360 started, I went so crazy. I literally collapsed! I must apoligize to him for not having been concentrating on what he was saying for the first few minutes. I was just ecstatic.

When the program started, it was 5:00 a.m. and completely dark. City lights look like gems.

Dawn is breaking.

Now, it is morning.

Blue Mosque.
This is the very place I (or my beau?) would like to visit for our honeymoon. We decided that a few years ago and the chance of going there, or getting married, is really slim.

It is pretty bright in Iraq! That is the neighboring country, isn't it?

Finally, John Roberts Anderstood!

laughter

Anderson's smiles and laughter make me smile. But WHAT'S KILLING YOU!?
I could not get it and that was really frustrating to me. I guess that is because I can not understand English itself but the culture. Even translators seemed to be having hard time understanding this part. What is funny about "Brokeback Mountain"?

Just to post Anderson

He was in Las Vegas! That's why he was absent the night before.

As might be expected, I have been pretty busy to devote myself to my favorite TV program. At least I should post Anderson's pics so that I can add comment later. Maybe during the next period when Andy takes a long break from 360.

Anderson had a talk with some comedians trying to cheer up hurricane victims in New Orleans.

piercing eyes

His eyes are always strong but today, I was pretty much impressed with his piercing eyes. He seemed to be furious about O.J. Simpson releasing his latest book. I don't think it is right to spend so much time on this matter. The more they report, the more interested people will get. And this is not leading to the right direction. As the victim's father said, let's just ignore him.

John Anderstands!

I didn't make it at the very beginning of this program. I watched TV and somehow, it takes as long as a second to recognize that he was not Anderson! It's a shame! At first I found something different. What was different? Oh, his face! Another JK360 today!

At least, John tried to pose like Anderson. But this is how he anderstands.

Friday's show

It was painful to hear the story about the homeless veteran and the young soldier killed in Iraq. I remember Anderson say in his coverage of famine in Niger that things can change really quickly there, that a baby that were sleeping on this bed previous night has gone away the next morning and that it is filled with another baby in critical condition. The same thing can be said to American soldier. America is considered to be the wealthiest country, but so many people were suffering from their lives being threatened by Iraq war.

I must admit that I was pretty delighted while hearing this homeless veteran's story. It was, of course, not his story that pleased me but casual Anderson that fascinated me. I saw him in casual clothes for the first time in a long time.

Anderson in suit and tie.

By now, I guess Play Station 3 was on the shelves in the States. I wonder if he gets one.

Ed Bradley

This is my first time I heard about Ed Bradley. Very few people in Japan know about him, I believe. Watching a quick review of his career, I could tell what his philosophy as a journalist was and how admired he was. Anderson seemed to be very sad to hear about his death all through the program, or even before 15 minutes before the program, when Andy was talking with Larry. After the video on Ed Bradley, I could see slight smile on Anderson's face. It seemed to me that he paid homage to this outstanding journalist and that, at the same time, he was determined to become a better one.

Identical!

Everybody must have had the same impression. These two guys are identical! Gray hair, blue eyes, striped suit, white shirt and plain blue tie! They must have felt awkward when they first saw each other. They had to spend quite a long time together in today's show.

If I have a chance to see a woman wearing a same skirt, I do hope she will soon disappear within my eyesight.

To tell you the truth, I am getting tired of watching election coverage. What is important for me, as a Japanese, is not election itself but how heavily this will impact Japan.

Also, how much Anderson will attract me during his show.

Two days in a row

I posted two-year-younger Anderson yesterday. It's looks like he grew old so suddenly. But he is just as handsom as ever.

On election eve, he was again wearing this "election tie," somebody even called it "republican tie". I wondered which he would be wearing on the election day.

As might be expected, the same election tie. I still don't think this tie suits him, but as one of the main anchor, this tie was outstanding and was a good choice on an occasion like this.

As many of you notice, two of them were wearing "democrat tie" and the others "republican tie." Looking this scene, we cannot tell which side Anderson stands on. This may be exactly what he wanted.

Silver Hair is Better than Dark Hair!

This is what he said more than 2 years ago. I "strongly believe" that, too.
But as for me, no thanks. I love my sleek black hair. Unfortunately, I am seeing a few white hairs these days, and I weed them out.

By the way, I thought his blue eyes were brighter than now. Examining his face carefully, I know why I felt that way. His blue eyes are now not as outstanding as his furrows.

CNN pipeline

CNN.com offers us free access to its pipeline. Thanks to the program, I can enjoy more than 500 of Anderson's videos . I've been "Anderfan" only for a month, but I feel like I am a big fan of him since 2004 (I am now watching videos broadcasted in 2004.)

I hope you get taller after taking enough vitamins! How cute!

Interview with Michael J. Fox

I learned a lot about stem cell research and that was really good for me. (I wrote a lot about this matter in my Japanese blog, so I won't write about it in this one.)

During his interview, he kept on looking Micheal square in the face with his piercing eyes just as usual. I was also impressed by Micheal, who is constantly shaking because of his disease. His eyes were just as intent, from which I could tell that he is really desperate to promote stem cell research.

Now it's time to discuss Anderson's suit! I liked today's Anderson. As I wrote before, I don't think white shirt is not good for him, but with this black&white striped tie, he really looks neat. It seems that he wears at least one thing striped recently. Yesterday, he wears striped suit. When he does not wear striped suite, either his shirt or tie is striped.

Andy's Dream Came True!?

Every Anderfan around world must have got excited to see today's THE SHOT. I am one of them. I never imagined Anderson reporting from stinky garbage can.
